Charities

Rehab Jigsaw works with a number of charities throughout the UK. We undertake assessments of both children and adults providing detailed reports tailored to the needs of the charity. Following an assessment with the beneficiary and, where appropriate, their families we make recommendations which are clinically justified.

The assessment and report are often used to support applications for funding through grants for assistive equipment such as seating, mobility equipment or more specialist equipment, or for home adaptations such as stair lifts, ramps or to assist with creating wheelchair accessibility.

Rehab Jigsaw Occupational Therapists (OTs) are able to work alongside others involved with the person to assess, recommend and provide advice on the specification for a specific item of equipment or home adaptation.

Rehab Jigsaw OTs provide specialist advice and can:

  • Assess the person in a timely manner, identifying their needs.
  • Consider the home, work, school or community environment.
  • Make recommendations to meet the person’s needs, provide detailed specifications, and advise on possible suppliers.
  • Advise on possible funding options.
  • Co-ordinate estimates.
  • Signpost the person where additional needs are identified.

If required, Rehab Jigsaw OTs can support a person and their family from assessment to provision of recommendations, working with equipment providers and those involved with the adaptation process to ensure that the person’s needs are met.

Testimonial

“We asked Rehab Jigsaw to help us with a benefactor who applied for funding for a riser/recliner armchair. They saw the person quickly, provided a holistic assessment and a thorough report and also identified other items of equipment which we were also able to help with funding. Thank you for your help.”
